La Mata Villas

La Mata is around 30 mins drive from Alicante airport and 25 minutes from Murcia (San Javier) airport and has a great blue flag beach and new urbanizations and apartments with great views across the coastline to La Manga and the moutains and salt lakes.
La Mata borders Agua Nuevas which is a new large scale new housing developments situated on the highest point between Torrevieja and La Mata enjoying views across the coast to La Manga Island, the mountains and salt lakes. Agua Nuevas properties are traditional style villas and apartments with private or communal pools and popular with spanish and other european permanent or holiday home owners. The format of Agua Nuevas is in american style blocks with wide streets running in parallels.
La Mata is a sleepy town bursting into life once a week when its hosts a lively market. There are bargains to be had as many Spanish travel from far afield to visit this traditional market. La Mata also hosts some of the nicest all year round 'blue flag' beach's along this fabulous coast line.

One benefits from being so near to the town of Torrevieja. From La Mata there is a short journey to Ciudad Quesada, a beautiful place with it 18-hole golf course.
La Mata has a long man made wooden beachside walkway for strolls and continues into the protected pine forests which lead to Guardamar.
