Crevillente's new development is planned to be on existing ‘brownfield’ sites to minimise damage to the surrounding countryside because the new homes project could double the population of the town over the coming years.

As part of the new build plan the town is also planning to develop a new health centre to cope with the town’s new residents, as well as a bus station and a new rail link to the outlying areas around the town.
The four neighbouring villages area also planned for large scale development with two million square metres in the mountains close by to be classified as “not for development” according to local reports.
